Google Play requires 12 testers opted in for 14 days

Beta testers you can prove were real.

Other services sell you 12 opt-ins. BetaTesters gives you verified people under NDA who check in every day, write structured reports, and a dashboard that tells you the exact day you can apply for production access. Testers get paid for every approved test.

Opt-ins are not testers

Google counts testers who stay opted in for 14 straight days and asks how engaged they were. About 30% of beta testers forget. We overfill every package so the number you paid for actually finishes.

Proof you can show Google

Daily check-ins, structured reports, device and version data, and a questionnaire draft written from your real numbers. When the production-access form asks how your testers used the app, you have the answer.

Real people, under NDA

Testers link Google, X, GitHub or a verified phone and sign a confidentiality agreement before they see your app. You get the signed record. Bad actors are banned across every identity they linked.

How it works

Two sides, one verified flow.

Developers

Need testers

  1. 1

    Pick a package and list

Add your closed-test opt-in link, tasks you want tried and questions you want answered. Choose a package sized for completers, mark it confidential if you like, and pay once.

  2. 2

Testers sign the NDA and opt in

Each tester accepts the confidentiality agreement with their legal name, confirms they installed from Play, and you get their Google account to add in Play Console with one copy.

  3. 3

    Watch real usage, not promises

Every tester checks in daily with what they did. Your dashboard shows each tester's 14-day strip, trust level, device and report, and the exact date you can apply.

  4. 4

    Approve and apply

Approve the testers who met your bar. Rewards release only then, dropouts cost you nothing, and the questionnaire draft is ready to paste.

Testers

Want to earn

  1. 1

    Sign up and get verified

Link Google, X, GitHub or your phone. Verified and Pro testers unlock more listings, higher rewards and up to 30 tests at once.

  2. 2

    Claim slots that pay

Browse open listings, sign the NDA, and commit. Install the app on your phone and keep it for the window.

  3. 3

    Check in daily, earn bonuses

Tap “I used it today” from the app on your home screen. A full streak pays 25% extra, a helpful report pays more, and Pro testers earn a premium on every test.

  4. 4

    Submit and withdraw

Your report takes two minutes. Approved rewards build a balance you withdraw to your bank or PayPal, plus swap credits to list your own app for free.

What you get that a tester pool can't give you

Most services recruit anonymous testers and hand you a count. Here is the difference.

Protection

Your unreleased app stays yours.

  • Every tester signs a confidentiality agreement before a slot is granted. You download the signed record with name, time, IP and verified identities.
  • Confidential listings hide your app's name, description and install link until a Verified tester has signed.
  • Report a tester from your dashboard. Upheld reports forfeit their balance and ban them across every identity they linked.
  • A practical guide covers the rest: strip client secrets, use a test backend, watermark builds.
Swaps

No budget? Swap tests instead.

Every approved test earns a swap credit. Spend one credit per slot to list your own app with no card. Credits are escrowed when you list and released to each tester you approve.

For testers

Paid per app, with bonuses that add up.

  • $1.00 to $2.50 per approved test, more on boosted listings
  • +25% for a full check-in streak, $0.25 for a helpful report, $0.25 Pro premium
  • $5.00 at 20 approvals a month, $15.00 at 40, and monthly leaderboard prizes
  • Install the app on your phone for push reminders; withdraw to your bank or PayPal
Before you buy a $15 tester pool

Cheap testers are a gamble you only lose once Google answers.

Plenty of services sell 12 opt-ins for $15, and many developers get approved with them. The problem is what you cannot see: who the testers are, whether they ever opened your app, and what happens if Google decides they were not engaged. A rejection costs you another 14 days.

  • The math only closes with unpaid or farmed testers. At $15 for 12 to 25 testers there is nothing left to pay a real person. Those pools are a handful of accounts on many devices, or developers swapping for free. Ours are paid, identity-linked people who chose your app.

  • Google scores engagement, not installs. Its rejection notice lists testers not engaged as a reason. An account juggling hundreds of closed tests cannot use yours for 14 days. Daily check-ins show you, and Google, that yours did.

  • The same accounts test thousands of apps. A pool that is opted into every closed test it sells is a pattern. Nobody outside Google knows how hard it filters known pools. With us every listing gets a different mix of real testers.

  • No identity, no agreement, no record. A pool hands your unreleased build to anonymous accounts. Here each tester signs an NDA with their name, and you keep the record.

  • If your app is simple and you can afford a second attempt, a cheap pool may be fine. If a rejection, a leak, or a 14-day delay would hurt, pay a little more and know.
Launch pricing

Priced for completers, not opt-ins

Around 30% of beta testers drop out, so every package opens extra slots and you pay rewards only to testers you approve. Most of the price goes to the testers; our cut is about 20%. Includes the progress dashboard, daily check-ins, NDA records, structured reports and the Play Console assistant. Prices rise as the tester base grows; listings you create now keep their price.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Google require?+

Personal Google Play developer accounts created after November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in continuously for 14 days before applying for production access, and the application asks how testers were recruited and how engaged they were. Our guide covers the details.

Why do packages have more slots than completers?+

Roughly 30% of beta testers forget or drop out even with reminders. Starter opens 18 slots so 12 finish. You pay rewards only to testers you approve, so dropouts cost you nothing and never restart your clock.

How do I know the testers are real?+

Testers link Google, X, GitHub or a verified phone number, and one account per person is enforced across those identities. Trust levels (Unverified, Verified, Pro) reflect linked identities, approval rate and check-in history. You can restrict a listing to Verified or Pro testers, and every tester signs an NDA with their legal name.

What does a tester actually do?+

Accept the NDA, opt in from your Play link and confirm the install, open the app and check in each day with what they did, then submit a report with device, rating, bugs, your tasks and your questions. Optionally they record a short screen session.

When do testers get paid, and how?+

Approved rewards go into a balance. Once it reaches the minimum they withdraw to a bank account via Stripe or to PayPal, and balances over the minimum are sent automatically each day. Bundling payouts is what keeps small rewards viable.

How do swaps work?+

Choose Swap credits when you list. One credit per slot is escrowed and released to each approved tester. You earn one credit for every approved test of someone else's app, and new accounts start with a couple.

How does the guarantee work?+

Add it to any cash listing. Complete the window, apply in Play Console, and if Google rejects production access, request a refund from your listing page. We refund the platform fee plus the add-on; rewards already paid stay with the testers.

What if a tester leaks my app?+

They signed an NDA you hold the record for. Report them from your dashboard; upheld reports ban them and block every identity they linked. For sensitive apps, use a confidential listing so nothing is shown until a Verified tester has signed.

Can I test my own app?+

No. A developer cannot claim a slot on their own listing.

Which platforms are supported?+

Android closed tests on Google Play are the main use case, but iOS TestFlight builds and web apps work the same way.
